Here are my top priorities I would focus on as the Councilmember from Ward 3:

INFRASTRUCTURE, STREETS & TRAFFIC
Prioritizing the repair and long-term maintenance of roads, bridges, and neighborhood infrastructure. Working with local and state partners to reduce congestion and improve safety on key corridors such as Highway 169, West River Road and Dayton River Road.

PARKS & RECREATION
Maintaining and expanding parks, trails, and outdoor access, improving ADA accessibility at places like Andrews Park, and supporting long-term community investments like Mississippi Crossings.

COMMUNITY & TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT
Balancing growth with preservation of Champlin’s character and environment, while ensuring thoughtful planning around housing, including present concerns about Group Homes and rental properties. On the Tech side, carefully evaluating future plans for data centers and current technologies such as license plate cameras to ensure they do not negatively impact privacy, utilities, or community character.

STRONG LOCAL ECONOMY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Encouraging economic growth that strengthens Champlin’s local business community and ensuring Ward 3 and all Champlin residents are informed, heard, and involved in city decisions, while encouraging participation through boards, commissions, and community initiatives.

RESPONSIBLE BUDGETING & PUBLIC SAFETY
Protecting residents through transparent, responsible spending focused on essential services and infrastructure, supporting well-staffed, well-equipped police and fire departments, along with city staff and seasonal workers, to ensure Champlin remains a safe and well-served community.

If there are additional priorities that are important to you that I might have missed and you would like to discuss, please reach out!
